This is not an auction site where the sale price goes up and purchasing takes days. DifferentNeedz.com offers products for immediate purchase at fixed prices: significantly lower prices than anywhere else. Special needs adapted toys and equipment cost 10 to 50 times as much as similar non-adapted goods. DifferentNeedz.com suggests that sellers price gently used items at no more than 75 percent of their original price and well-used products at no more than 50 percent of their original price.
Inspired by their own special-needs child, Karen and Bret Jordan of Cleveland, Ohio are part of the group that founded DifferentNeedz.com. “Our son has opened our eyes and our hearts to a new world full of very special people who bring joy to many lives but whose daily needs and wants often go unfulfilled. As a reliable source for discounted, quality products, DifferentNeedz.com hopes to change that,” said Karen Jordan.
The Founders of DifferentNeedz.com are establishing the DifferentNeedz Foundation, a foundation dedicated to serving the special needs community. The DifferentNeedz Foundation’s mission is to help improve quality of life for all with special needs by providing money and equipment to families and community organizations. DifferentNeedz.com will make a donation to the DifferentNeedz Foundation with every sale.
DifferentNeedz.com is presently establishing a grassroots network through special-needs schools, charitable foundations and community organizations to communicate directly with those who will benefit most from the site.

Buyers are not required to set up an account. They can browse items for sale using search terms or product categories. Sellers will register as members, and post photographs, a description of their item(s) for sale, and the fixed sale and shipping price.
